How do I buy a ticket on
DYou can book the online tickets in a simple three step process. After you booked your ticket you will receive conformation of the boarding pass through E-mail, SMS or WhatsApp Service. We don't oversell our schedules, so this boarding pass will guarantee you a seat on your ticketed schedule.
What happens when my schedule/service is cancelled?
We'll make every effort to ensure that your travel is not affected by providing alternate services to help you reach the destination.
Do I have to pay extra when compared to buying the tickets offline?
Busafari does not charge anything extra when compared to the traditional way (offline). The tickets are absolutely at the same cost that the travel operator has priced them.
How does your boarding process work?
Please arrive at the pick-up point on or before 15 minute of departure timing. Please have your SMS or WhatsApp confirmation (or ticket printout in some cases) and government issues personal identification ready while boarding.
Why are different seats priced differently in the same bus?
There is more than one reason for this: 1. Some Operators/buses have AC/Non-AC in the same bus. 2. Some buses have Seater and Sleeper type seats in the same bus. 3. Some Operators want to price the front rows a little higher than the back rows in the bus.
I’ve lost my ticket printout. What do I do now?
A copy of the ticket would have been sent to you by e-mail when you booked the ticket. Please take a printout of that mail and produce it at the time of boarding. If you have not received your ticket to the e-mail id you provided, you can take a printout on website by entering the PNR Number that was sent you by SMS or WhatsApp Service while booking the ticket.
Why is it mandatory to provide my mobile number during booking the ticket(s)?
You must fill the "Mobile Number" mandatory field when booking tickets. Your mobile number will be used to send Booking confirmation SMS or WhatsApp, Boarding point details, bus operator will be able to contact you quickly in case you are not on time at the boarding point or Busafari will be able to contact you if there is any change in schedule.
I have not received the tickets to my email id, what do I do?
If you did not receive an email after your conformation of the booking, it can be two reasons: The payment might have got failed. In this case the booking is cancelled by the system. Please check your bank statement first to see if your account was charged, please contact us in order to solve this problem. If your account was not charged, then you can retry the booking. I did not receive my SMS Ticket confirmation on mobile. Can you re-send it?
Yes. Please contact our 18/7 customer support and we will be able to re-send you the SMS ticket confirmation with PNR details.
Is it mandatory to carry the required identity proofs along with the e-ticket?
Yes. It is mandatory to carry government issued identity proofs along with your e-ticket.

Busafari Wallet Issues

What is Busafari Wallet?
Busafari Wallet is a booking currency introduced by Busafari. It is a quick and easy way to manage your cash back and refunds with Busafari. You can receive your ticket cancellation refunds in Busafari Wallet and use the same for future bookings only on You can also add money to Busafari wallet from your via Credit Card, Debit Card, Net banking, UPI and Digital Wallets.
What is promotional busafari wallet?
Promotional busafari wallet is currency earned by you while participating in various promotional activities of busafari such as Offers, Sales, Cash backs, Referral and Rewards.
What is non -promotional busafari wallet?
Non-Promotional busafari wallet is actual currency added/deposited by you via Credit Card, Debit Card, Net banking, UPI and Digital Wallets. Tickets booked and cancelled using actual currency & opted for refund to busafari wallet also classifies as Non-Promotional busafari wallet. In case of a cancellation of tickets booked using busafari wallet non-promotional balance, the cancellation amount will be credited back to your non-promotional busafari wallet.
What are the benefits of using busafari wallet?
when you cancel your booking, it may take 5-7 working days before the refund amount is credited back to your original payment mode. In case of an immediate rebooking, you cannot use the same amount for your rebooking. With busafari wallet the refund amount is available to you instantly, thus enabling you to make new bookings without any delay. In addition to this, any loyalty cash backs or promotional cash backs earned will be part of your busafari wallet.
How can I add money in wallet?
You can add money using the Add Money Tab in your Wallet account. Every time you cancel a booking and choose Wallet, the refund amount gets credited to your Wallet instantly. Also, the promotional cash backs issued by busafari will also be added to your wallet account.
How do I use money present in wallet?
You can use the promotional Wallet balance as per redemption rules. And the non-promtional Wallet balance in full or part for booking bus tickets on with unlimited validity.
There is not enough money in Wallet for booking a ticket. How do I proceed to make a booking ?
In case the booking amount is greater than the amount that you have in your Wallet, you can pay the balance amount via regular payment options such as credit/debit card or netbanking.
How can I get my money back from Wallet ?
You can use your Wallet for booking bus tickets on only. Wallet (Non-Promotional/Promotional) cannot be withdrawn or transferred to bank account or other wallets.
Is there any expiry to the money present in Wallet?
Yes, there is a 90 days validity for promotional money from the day it gets added. Non-promotional money does not have any expiry date. Promotional Wallet refunded against any ticket cancellation/service cancellation will expire in 30 days from the day it gets added.
Can I transfer balance in Wallet balance to any other user?
Yes, you can transfer only Non-promotional money to another Wallet user.

Cancellation Related

Can I cancel my bus ticket?
Yes. The tickets booked through busafari can be cancelled* before the cutoff time on the day of journey which is the start of the bus at the first boarding point. *Cancellation terms vary from bus operator to bus operator.
How can I cancel my ticket, if I need to?
To cancel your ticket, visit the Cancellation page – enter your PNR details to proceed for cancellation. Check the refund terms before cancellation. These terms are also shown at the time of booking, while you are selecting the particular bus. These terms are also available on the ticket printout. Please check these terms before you confirm your cancellation.
Can I partially cancel my ticket?
Partial Ticket Cancellation is accepted by few operators. Please check the cancellation terms of the bus operator provided while booking the ticket. Partial Cancellation of ticket is currently allowed through our portal. Please visit to cancel your tickets.

Payments Related

What Payment types do you accept?
We accept Internet banking, Payment via Credit Cards and Debit Cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Maestro Cards) and ITZ Cash Cards. We accept cards that are issued in India only.
Is there any other option to book tickets from busafari?
Yes, you can book tickets by going to the nearest ITZ cash cards counter.
How safe are online transactions on
Transactions on are very safe. has the best-in-class security. uses Secure Socket Layers (SSL) data encryption. Using SSL ensures that the information exchanged with is never transmitted unencrypted thus protecting the information from being viewed by unauthorized individuals. This encryption is done using 256-bit RC4 encryption. In addition the credit card information is processed over secure gateways which are certified by Visa and MasterCard.
Can I pay for someone else?
Yes, you can pay/book bus tickets for others. It is not necessary that the payee has to travel. Please make sure you are giving the right details for all passengers and also make sure they carry the Govt. issued ID cards to ensure that there won't be any issues.
I don't have a credit card can I still want to buy tickets at busafari?
Yes. You don't necessarily need to have a credit card to buy tickets on All internet enabled bank accounts can be used to book tickets. Please select Internet Banking and your desired bank to complete the transaction.
Is Phone booking of bus tickets available?
No. You cannot book your bus tickets by phone.
Is Home Delivery / Cash on Delivery of tickets available?
No. We do not have that facility for now. You can either carry the SMS confirmation we send or in some cases you can carry the ticket printout that you can print after booking confirmation.
How fast should I complete the online payment?
Payment for any booking, after selecting the seats has to be completed within 10 minutes. If you don't complete the payment during the 10 minutes after selecting your seats, your order will be annulled/void and the seats will be released for others to book.

Refunds Related

I missed the bus, am I eligible for a refund?
busafari provides 100% refund if the bus is missed due to either busafari or its partner company's fault. However, if the bus is missed due to any other reasons not directly related to busafari it does not provide any refund (for example: waiting at the wrong pickup point or arriving late at the pickup point is not considered for refund).
I have cancelled my booking and when can I get the refund amount?
Generally all refunds are processed the same day or instantly in most cases. Money is transferred/refunded back to the passenger's credit/debit card/Bank account by the payment gateway within 24 hours. After which depending on the customer’s bank, it takes 3-10 business days to reflect the credit in your account.
Would I get a full refund?
Full refund happens only when there has been an error from’s end or the operators end. In other cases, where the traveler requests for cancellation, partial refund happens. Please check the cancellation terms of the particular bus operator - these are mentioned on the ticket printout/Email. Or please contact our customer support for more details.

Are there any separate Bus Operator Rules I need to know?
Each Bus Operator has their own rules regarding amount of luggage allowed, available luggage space, extra payments for boxes, etc. Each Bus Operator has its own conditions of refunds - these are displayed to you when you are choosing the Bus during the booking process. What is a cash coupon and how do I claim it?
A cash coupon is slightly different from a discount coupon. Cash coupons can be used for single booking in the given time period. They are generally issued when helping the customer rebook tickets if there was an error from end in an earlier booking.

I have a discount coupon but cannot get any discount
The discount coupon that you are using might have expired or has crossed its usage limit or is not applicable for the operator you selected. Every coupon has its own set of rules and these might be changed without notice for various reasons. However you can check the offers page for any active offers.
